Biblical & Historical Background
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you
good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Luke 2:10.
The scripture above is the biblical background for TOUCHING LIVES AT CHRISTMAS. The understanding and interpretation of it gave birth to a new inspiration about what the Christmas season is meant for.
Amazingly, since inception, it’s been soul winning, Church planting, transformation of lives and communities (touching lives) through an unconventional way.
TKP International Director, Pastor Olusola Adebayo narrated, “The scripture ‘Luke 2:10’ released a torrent of unquenchable fire into my spirit in the year 2000, and then began to pray how God who wants us to go about this, I knew that this revelation of the mind of God concerning Christmas celebration with challenge l change some status quo.
By the middle of following year 2001, few TKP brethren were gather together so I can share with them the vision that was just coming up, with mixed feelings conquered by the respect
they had for the leadership of TKP, All hands were put on deck, the planning began, the mobilization started and by December year 2001, the first edition of TLC held participated in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. It recorded eighty (80) brethren in attendance and participation”
From 2004, TLC began to spread to other Cities and locations like Ibadan, Akure, Ile-Ife.
Today, TLC has spread to 206 Cities and towns in 18 Countries in African, Europe, Australia and North America.
TLC is growing in leaps and bounds; from obscurity to limelight, from nothing to something that clergies and laities are throwing their weight and influence behind it.
