CHRISTIAN RETIREES: assets or liabilities?
Spread all over the world is this special & wonderful category of people called the Retirees. They are found in most families, every community, all cities and nations of the world.
Some see the Retirees as assets, while others see them as liabilities. The word of God is very clear concerning the unique role the elderly can play and are expected to play both in the society and in the Body of Christ.
Against this backdrop, the LORD led the International Director of THE KINGDOM PROJECTS (TKP) to create a department called RETIRED BUT NOT TIRED (RBNT) which will focus on ministering to the Christian Retirees and also equipping them to serve God in a unique way and play their roles in the global missions.
On the 9th day of the 9th month in the 9th year of this new millennium (09/09/09), TKP hosted about 70 Christian Retirees in the very first edition of Retired But Not Tired Seminar. With this seminar, the activities of RBNT was flagged off.
Outside Ilorin, the RBNT seminars have held in few other towns and cities in Nigeria and in West Africa. Each year, the LORD gives us a specific theme to focus on. This year, it is Divine prescriptions for Enjoying Your Retirement Period.
