International Leadership Retreat

Setting the Pace for another Harvest of Souls

Whenever and wherever the statistics of the outreach– Touching Lives at Christmas ( TLC) are presented, we always add, ‘These statistics are not the product of prowess and strategies; they are evidence of God’s power, God’s wisdom and God’s readiness to save the lost’. This is because the LORD of the Harvest is the secret behind the success of the outreach.

The report of TLC 2018 shows that 9,340 brethren from various denominations left their comfort zones and spread themselves over 456 villages, 4 hospitals, 4 prisons, 4 orphanages, an IDP Camp and a center for the homeless in the vicinities of 148 cities across 15 African and European countries. This demonstration of Christ-like love brought 9,851 souls to salvation in Christ Jesus. All these efforts put together are the ACTS of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Every last weekend of June is always a time to fellowship with the God of heaven whose wisdom and power sustains TLC Outreach. This fellowship is called TLC International Leadership Retreat (world changers conference).  The 2019 edition of the leadership retreat started from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th June, 2019 at Ilorin, the headquarters of TKP. A total number of 350 outreach leaders, representing 58 TLC centers from 8 countries of West, Central and Eastern parts of Africa, were in attendance. The delegates from Central Africa had to travel for 3 days in other to receive the strength that comes from Zion (Psalm 84:7).

The retreat featured moments of prayers, fellowship in the word and the family meeting time where challenges facing TLC in each Centre were discussed. The joy of being involved in the retreat was written all over the leaders’ faces and they departed from the retreat with great zeal. These are indications that the pace for another harvest of souls on the 25th day of December, 2019 has been set.

The peace and the presence of God that brought these servants of God to Ilorin and took them back to their destinations are things to thank God for. In spite of all the odds, all the delegates got back to their destinations safely.

The cost of hosting these outreach leaders (their free feeding and accommodation) was not a joke. The production of the publication they went with so as to plan for the next TLC was a whopping sum of money in millions of naira. According to Hudson Taylor, ‘God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply.’ Glory be to Jesus from whom all resources flow; thanks to faithful partners like you who also gave generously.

TLC work requires consistent prayers and resources in other to continue to labour until ‘…the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea’ (Hab 2:14).
